This support has provided beds, monitors, ventilators and anesthesia machines to the SHAIO Clinic to help care for many COVID-19 patients.

Due to the emergency caused by the coronavirus crisis, Fundación MAPFRE has approved a donation of 503,540 euros in Colombia, 355,000 euros of which will be allocated to setting up an Intensive Care Unit at the SHAIO Clinic, the first cardiovascular center in Colombia, located in Bogotá.

Thanks to Fundación MAPFRE’s contribution, this intensive care treatment center has ventilators, highly complex anesthesia machines, electric beds, vital sign monitors and emergency stretchers so that COVID-19 patients can receive the best treatment.

“We are experiencing difficult times, which is why it is more important than ever that we be united, that we be supportive and that we collaborate in the protection measures established by the government. We need to support each other and get involved. This is the only way we will overcome this health crisis,” said Pablo Jackson, CEO of MAPFRE COLOMBIA.

Fundación MAPFRE has developed more than 15 social projects in this country since 1995, benefiting more than 100,000 people.
