In 2017, we joined the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Since then, we’ve developed new investment products for our customers that comply with these principles and ESG criteria.

ESG assessment model
In investment management, we’ve developed an internal ESG assessment model that incorporates ESG risk exposure for each asset into decision-making. This approach allows us to integrate ESG criteria throughout the entire investment process, identifying potential risks and opportunities that can generate sustainable long-term value. This means we can align our investments with global standards and underpin our commitment to sustainability
Our commitment to decarbonization
As part of our commitment to decarbonization, as a member of the Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance (NZAOA), and in order to limit global temperature rise to 1.5⁰C, we have set interim targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from our investment portfolio by 2030, on the path to fulfilling our commitment to be a net-zero emissions company by 2050.
These interim targets, based on the Alliance’s Target Setting Protocol, imply a maximum warming of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, the most ambitious target defined in the Paris Agreement. Find out more about our interim targets below.
