MAPFRE premiums grow 7.3% in the first half of 2022
- The Group would have 7.7% growth, adjusting for the following non-recurring effects: the sale of BANKIA VIDA at the end of 2021 (-0.8%), the relevant multi-year policy in Mexico issued in 2021 (-4.5%) and currency appreciation in 2022 (+4.9%).
- Premiums from the insurance business grew 8.5%.
- MAPFRE RE premiums increase 13.9%.
In line with MAPFRE’s commitment to transparency, we have released advance information to the market about premiums by region and business unit. This allows the public to follow the behavior of the key business indicator a few days ahead of the second quarter results presentation, which is planned for July 28.
This information makes it possible to provide a more complete understanding of the Group business performance, since some countries release information about MAPFRE’s written premiums in advance of the results presentation.
