Mapfre has appointed Oscar García-Serrano CEO of Mapfre Colombia, replacing Rafael Prado, who has decided to pursue another career opening.

“Oscar García-Serrano is an excellent professional who’s been with Mapfre for over 30 years. He knows the region perfectly, especially Colombia, where he worked for the Group for four years, so the continuity of our operation there is fully guaranteed,” stated Eduardo Pérez de Lema, CEO of the International Insurance Unit.

Oscar García-Serrano has a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from Complutense University of Madrid. He joined Mapfre in 1994. In 1998, he joined Mapfre América, holding different positions of responsibility until he moved to Colombia in 2014 as CFO of LATAM South. In 2018, he was appointed CFO of the Brazilian regional area, where he served until April 2022, when he joined Mapfre S.A. as Corporate Director of Administration and Finance, a position he has held until now.
