Mapfre Global Risks has signed a collaboration agreement with Macquarie Asset Management, one of the largest infrastructure asset managers in the world, with the aim of generating new business opportunities in the major corporate risks segment in Latin America.

Under this agreement, Macquarie will identify and present potential clients to Mapfre Global Risks, including companies in its portfolio of investees. The partnership represents a new step in the relationship between the two companies and opens the door to a closer collaboration in the management and transfer of risks linked to infrastructure and other strategic assets in the region. Likewise, it will allow Mapfre Global Risks to reinforce its position as the benchmark insurance company for Macquarie’s asset portfolio in Latin America.

The agreement was signed by Álvaro Núñez, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer of Mapfre Global Risks, and James Jackson, Managing Director of Macquarie Asset Management, and formalized at a recent meeting at Macquarie’s regional headquarters for the Americas, in New York.

Mapfre and Macquarie have maintained a solid relationship since 2021, when they established an institutional investment partnership focused on alternative assets, especially in infrastructure and European real estate.
