José Manuel Corral appointed as new managing director of Mapfre Life

Mapfre has appointed José Manuel Corral Vázquez as managing director of Mapfre Vida and general manager of the Bancassurance Channel of Mapfre in Spain.

Corral, who will also join the Board of Directors of Mapfre Spain, has been with the company for more than 30 years, holding different positions of responsibility, the most recent of which is chief operating officer of Mapfre USA, a role he has been in since 2021. Daniel Olohan will substitute José Manuel Corral in Mapfre USA.

Olohan, who joined the company in 2006, is currently responsible for legal services and general secretary of Mapfre U.S.A., among other responsibilities.

These appointments will take effect on August 1.
