Paraguay is committed to its health professionals, one of society’s most valued groups under extreme pressure at the moment.

Safe commuting for health professionals in Paraguay. This is the ambition of Héroes de Blanco (Heroes in White), an initiative in Paraguay helping this group commute in safe vehicles that have separate front and rear compartments. This initiative is supported by an alliance between MAPFRE and two other companies, Perfecta Automotores (a representative of the BMW brand in the country) and Puma Energy.

Representatives from each company recently presented the Minister of Health with a total of 15 vehicles, which are insured by MAPFRE, designated for this critical task in the fight against COVID-19.

Through this collaboration, the group is working in Paraguay with one of society’s most valued groups under extreme pressure, as in 26 other countries where the group has been actively cooperating, providing aid and donations of preventive and healthcare supplies, since the start of the pandemic.

Pierina Pumarol, CEO of MAPFRE, noted that nowadays, institutions are increasingly being urged to take action and work together closely in order to fight the disease and mitigate the devastating effects of the crisis.
