Fundación Mapfre has announced it will donate IDR 1,507 Billion to support urgent medical and community needs in Indonesia, as the coronavirus continues to spread. The funding is part of a global $38 million aid package by the foundation for medical providers and communities around the world.

The donation given is a range of needs, including the shortage of critical supplies in form of a Personal Safety Equipment (PPE) for medical professionals and first responders at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran (Athlete House -Kemayoran) as one of the Emergency Hospitals for handling the Covid-19 outbreak.

Herlin Sutanto, Fundacion Mapfre high representative in Indonesia symbolically made the donation to Brigadier General M. Saleh Mustafa, Deputy Commander of Integrated Joint Task of RSD Covid-19 Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.

In Indonesia, with a population of 250 million inhabitants, Mapfre has developed its market in Indonesian insurance since October 2013. Currently it controls 62.33% of PT Asuransi Bina Dana Arta Tbk (ABDA).
