Mapfre ranks in the Top 5% of the insurance industry according to the Sustainability Yearbook 2026, the prestigious annual publication by S&P Global that classifies the companies most committed to society and the planet.
In this edition, Mapfre has obtained 88 points out of 100, an improvement of 6 points compared to 2025, in the Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) by S&P.
Mapfre remains committed to sustainability, which is an essential part of its understanding of the business and interacting with society. Integrating sustainability means working every day to generate a positive impact on people, the environment, and its operations, moving toward a more responsible and efficient model.
Mapfre’s results in the CSA recognize the Group’s efforts to strengthen its social commitment through initiatives that support inclusion, diversity, access to insurance, and people’s well-being, both within and outside the company, as well as its environmental efforts, particularly to reduce its carbon footprint and promote the use of renewable energy.
Likewise, this publication by S&P Global underscores that leading insurance companies are increasingly considering long-term sustainability trends in the development of new sustainable insurance solutions, especially to offer innovative products tailored to customer needs and thus contribute to closing protection gaps in global markets.
In 2026, more than 9,200 companies sought this recognition, of which only 848 ultimately managed to make the list.
