In close collaboration with manufacturers and with
our mother company, MAPFRE , numerous vehicles pass through the hands of
CESVIMAP each year in order to be submitted to a
detailed study, which covers anything from the exact
location of their identification marks, both on the
bodywork and on mechanical elements, to the different
thicknesses of metalwork which form their chassis,
passing through the different systems of safety belts or
the types of materials that the vehicle parts are made
of, such as plastics, which are increasingly used in the
automobile world.
The most important elements of the bodywork, which is divided into the front section, the central section and the rear section, are examined according to their accessibility and their methods of repair, replacement and union to the rest of the parts.
This information is vital when establishing the repair possibilities of vehicles. Once it has been double checked, it is published in different CESVIMAP documents , as descriptive manuals and repair manuals, articles in our magazine and, of course, in CESVITECA . Training, which we give, both in our own installations and elsewhere, is also based on these meticulous research methods.
Very detailed information is available about a large number of the passenger vehicles, industrial vehicles and motorcycles which are to be found on the roads of our country, with their different particularities, since they have passed through CESVIMAP.
